The Power of the Tucker Brand

In 1918, Frederick C. Tucker founded the F.C. Tucker Company on the principles of Judgment, Courage, Patience and Vision. The company has a rich history in the development of central Indiana’s commercial and business community. The company began as a residential real estate brokerage in 1918, but added commercial in 1957 by brokering the sale of the Marott Hotel on Meridian Street.

In 1970, Bud Tucker (son of the founder) led investors to open the Indianapolis Hilton, the first new hotel to open in the city in 40 years. This move ignited the downtown revitalization we enjoy today. In 1974, the company partnered with the City of Indianapolis to help create Market Square Arena, sparking a regional development boom, the rebirth of downtown and a home for the Indiana Pacers.

All the while the residential division flourished. The “T” sign, introduced in 1963, is synonymous for real estate although it doesn’t today, and never did contain the words real estate , housing , REALTOR® or for sale. The still running Talk to Tucker slogan was born the same year.

Today the Tucker Company seamlessly blends residential and commercial services with agents who specialize in each discipline. With the full services of the residential division supporting the commercial division, local commercial experts can assist in any type of transaction with the speed and agility of a residential expert, but with the nuance for the complexity that commercial transactions embody.

Today, the commercial division of the company - Tucker Commercial - is comprised of a full service team of professionals skilled in commercial transactions of all sizes across the state of Indiana, carrying on the focus on commercial clients started in 1957.
